Overview
The job is for a Welder/Fitter with 2-5 years of experience in structural steel work or similar. The role involves completing welding assignments, collaborating with coordinators, and ensuring safety and quality in welding operations.
Responsibilities
- Complete welding assignments and procedures for construction and repairs on time and safely.
- Cut, trim, or scarf metal objects and fit and fabricate metal components to dimensions.
- Collaborate with the welding lead coordinator to assess proper weld procedures and materials.
- Analyze engineering drawings and specifications to plan welding operations.
- Utilize hand welding and flame-cutting equipment to assemble structural forms.
- Inspect welds for proper tie-ins and pinholes and clean off buckshot and slag.
- Utilize zinc coat spray on welds when working with existing structures.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- 2-5 years of Stick/MiG welding experience.
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
- Certified AWS-D1.
- 1-5 years of fitter experience.
- Valid driver's license.
- Ability to work in a high-stress environment.
- Good response to challenges posed by short deadlines.

- A positive, upbeat attitude.
Additional Information
- Able to travel around the DFW area, typically no out-of-town work.
