Overview

Siemens Mobility, Rolling Stock Division is a leader in the production of passenger locomotives and coaches, and light rail vehicles. The Production Welder I position involves supporting welding, alignment, and assembly activities in a dynamic production environment at their facility in Lexington, NC.

Responsibilities

• Utilize production blueprints, parts lists, sketches, and verbal instructions to execute welding tasks.
• Construct and assemble routine welded units such as subassemblies and mounted parts.
• Conduct visual inspections and adhere to established quality checks.

Requirements

• High school education or state recognized GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Practical welding test will be required for all candidates.
• Working knowledge of torch and plasma equipment is preferred.
• General mechanical background.
• Fully understand manufacturing drawings and verify dimensions.
• Capable of basic written and verbal communication in English.
