Overview
The Senior Level Industrial Maintenance Technician is responsible for expert level maintenance, troubleshooting, and improvement of mechanical and electrical systems in a factory environment. The role requires in-depth technical knowledge and the ability to lead continuous improvement activities while ensuring compliance with safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Performs expert level break-fix and preventive maintenance on mechanical and electrical equipment.
- Provides troubleshooting support on equipment and technical support on production lines.
- Programs, troubleshoots, and analyzes complex control systems.
- Utilizes predictive equipment for analysis and proactive maintenance.
- Leads and participates in continuous improvement activities.
- Identifies and sources parts and repair items as necessary.
- Independently performs maintenance as per industry standards.
- Complies with 5S and housekeeping standards.
- Sets up and operates machining operations and may perform welding tasks.
- Studies and investigates methods and tools to improve maintenance practices.
- Prepares input for cost analysis and repair proposals.
- Updates records and reviews CMMS history.
- Provides technical content for sales quotations.
- Trains and coaches less proficient technicians.
- Completes on-the-job training and technical self-study programs.
- Follows safety policies and identifies unsafe behaviors.
Requirements
- High School Graduate or equivalent (GED).
- Associates degree with a Technical focus and 7 years of related experience, or 10 years of experience in the specific industry.
- Proficiency in predictive technologies including vibration analysis.
- Understands electrical, mechanical, fluid power, and control systems.
- Must be able to use hand tools and specialized tools.
- May be required to travel.
- Six Sigma experience desired.
