Overview
The Stainless TIG and Structural MIG Fabricator position requires a skilled welder capable of reading blueprints and welding symbols, proficient in both MIG and TIG welding techniques, and maintaining a clean and efficient workspace in a fast-paced metal fabrication environment.
Responsibilities
- Weld MIG on carbon/structural steel, sheet metal, tubing, frames, and assemblies.
- Weld TIG on stainless, aluminum, and precision components.
- Perform multi-pass welding as specified.
- Prepare surfaces by grinding, cleaning, and prepping prior to welding.
- Interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and weld symbols.
- Layout using tape measure, square, level, and soapstone.
- Operate saws, grinders, drill press, ironworker, and plasma table as needed.
- Fit and tack parts prior to final weld-out.
- Inspect penetration, bead profile, and dimensions to ensure spec/tolerance.
- Rework/repair as needed and keep spatter to a minimum.
- Keep workstation organized and follow production priorities.
- Follow PPE requirements and OSHA safety practices.
Requirements
- 2+ years MIG welding in a fabrication environment.
- 1+ year TIG welding preferred.
- Ability to pass an on-site weld test.
- Read a tape to 1/16" minimum.
- Fluency in blueprints and weld symbols.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Reliable transportation and attendance.

- Locations include Forney, Rockwall, Kaufman, Wills Point, Terrell, Royse City.
- Employment type can be Temp-to-Hire or Direct Hire based on need.
- Shifts available are 1st, 2nd, and 3rd with overtime and some Saturdays as workload requires.
