Job Description
Overview
The Pipefitter Leader position is located in the Facilities Maintenance Section of Engineering Service at West Los Angeles or Sepulveda/Los Angeles Ambulatory Care (LAACC), CA. This role involves performing and leading journeyman Pipefitter and Plumbing work within the Plumbing Unit of the Maintenance and Operation Section.
Responsibilities
- Perform duties of a journeyman pipefitter and lead three or more workers.
- Apply knowledge of high-pressure piping systems and equipment installation and operation.
- Utilize knowledge of pressure supporting and controlling devices for system management.
- Plan and lay out installation, modification, and repair of systems and equipment.
- Read and interpret building blueprints, shop drawings, and technical specifications.
- Use hand tools and test equipment relevant to the pipefitting trade.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
