Join us as a Maintenance Mechanic/Welder and become a vital part of our team. We are a local family business looking for a self-motivated, dependable, experienced shop mechanic/welder to perform maintenance, repairs, and welding tasks on a variety of vehicles, equipment, and machinery.
Responsibilities
- Repair and maintain vehicles and mechanical equipment.
- Operate hand and power welding tools.
- Possess knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
- Provide a safe environment for all employees, customers, and visitors.
- Repair and replace broken or malfunctioning components of machinery and equipment.
- Reassemble equipment after completion of inspections, testing, or repairs.
- Operate newly repaired machinery and equipment to verify the adequacy of repairs.
- Record repairs and maintenance performed.
- Repair and replace damaged or worn parts.
- Clean, lubricate, and perform other routine maintenance work on equipment and vehicles.
- Perform special projects as assigned.
- Manage unpredictable workload and pressure during peak times.
Requirements
- Self-motivated and dependable.
- Intermediate level of experience required.
- Experience performing routine maintenance with accurate DOT record keeping.
- Proactive problem-solving skills.
- Technical skill and a strong commitment to quality work.
- ASE Certified preferred but not required.
