Join us as a Maintenance Mechanic/Welder and become a vital part of our team. We are a local family business looking for a self-motivated, dependable, experienced shop mechanic/welder to perform maintenance, repairs, and welding tasks on a variety of vehicles, equipment, and machinery.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain vehicles and mechanical equipment.
• Operate hand and power welding tools.
• Possess knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
• Provide a safe environment for all employees, customers, and visitors.
• Repair and replace broken or malfunctioning components of machinery and equipment.
• Reassemble equipment after completion of inspections, testing, or repairs.
• Operate newly repaired machinery and equipment to verify the adequacy of repairs.
• Record repairs and maintenance performed.
• Repair and replace damaged or worn parts.
• Clean, lubricate, and perform other routine maintenance work on equipment and vehicles.
• Perform special projects as assigned.
• Manage unpredictable workload and pressure during peak times.

Requirements

• Self-motivated and dependable.
• Intermediate level of experience required.
• Experience performing routine maintenance with accurate DOT record keeping.
• Proactive problem-solving skills.
• Technical skill and a strong commitment to quality work.
• ASE Certified preferred but not required.
