Overview

We are looking for skilled and dependable Journeyman Structural Steel Fitters/Welders to join our growing team in South Pierce County. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced professionals who take pride in precision work and want to contribute to complex structural and bridge fabrication projects.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate structural steel components such as columns, beams, stairs, and handrails.
• Fabricate heavy bridge-building elements.
• Read and interpret complex structural and bridge blueprints.
• Perform accurate layout, measuring, positioning, and fitting of components.
• Execute high-quality welds in compliance with structural and bridge code requirements.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Work a 4-day, 10-hour schedule with required overtime to meet deadlines.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of structural steel fabrication experience (bridge work preferred).
• Strong proficiency in blueprint reading.
• Strong proficiency in welding symbols and layout techniques.
• Ability to pass a WABO 3G weld certification (required upon hire).
• Dependable attendance and punctuality.
• Strong work ethic and ability to follow detailed instructions.
• Willingness to work extended hours and overtime as needed.
