Overview

Join the Terex team as a Welder on the 1st shift in Huron, SD, where you will play a crucial role in building the structural foundations of utility trucks and equipment. Terex is committed to fostering an inclusive work culture that values quality, innovation, and diversity.

Responsibilities

• Fit, tack, and weld steel components for aerial devices and digger derricks using GMAW/FCAW processes.
• Read and interpret blueprints and WPS, set up jigs/fixtures, and perform in-process checks to ensure quality.
• Follow safety protocols, including PPE usage and maintaining orderly work areas.
• Use overhead cranes and material-handling equipment to stage and transfer parts safely.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering and Quality teams to improve processes.
• Participate in training to expand welding skills and progress through defined skill levels.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Experience welding steel using GMAW (MIG) and/or FCAW in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and work instructions.
• Knowledge of weld quality standards and ability to perform visual inspections.
• Ability to safely use overhead cranes and material-handling equipment.
• Strong commitment to safety and consistent use of PPE.
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting and positioning materials.
• Reliable attendance and ability to work assigned shifts.
