Overview

Pratt & Whitney is seeking a Welder for the 3rd Shift to work onsite in East Hartford, Connecticut. The role involves transforming the future of flight by designing, building, and servicing innovative engines.

Responsibilities

  • Work from operation sheets, drawings, and verbal instructions to machine, fabricate, and finish production parts.
  • Perform bench assembly and finishing operations using handheld and power tools.
  • Conduct part preparatory functions including grit blasting, shot peening, and oven operations.
  • Use measuring instruments to check dimensions and record results in computer data systems.
  • Perform routine servicing and upkeep of equipment following specified procedures.
  • Assist others with new equipment or process tryouts as needed.
  • Refer problems to supervisor as appropriate.
  • May carry out additional tasks within the scope of this job description.
  • May require training for licenses and certifications.

Requirements

  • HS Diploma or equivalent.
  • 6 months of machining experience or 1 year of technical training.
