Overview
Pratt & Whitney is seeking a Welder for the 3rd Shift to work onsite in East Hartford, Connecticut. The role involves transforming the future of flight by designing, building, and servicing innovative engines.
Responsibilities
- Work from operation sheets, drawings, and verbal instructions to machine, fabricate, and finish production parts.
- Perform bench assembly and finishing operations using handheld and power tools.
- Conduct part preparatory functions including grit blasting, shot peening, and oven operations.
- Use measuring instruments to check dimensions and record results in computer data systems.
- Perform routine servicing and upkeep of equipment following specified procedures.
- Assist others with new equipment or process tryouts as needed.
- Refer problems to supervisor as appropriate.
- May carry out additional tasks within the scope of this job description.
- May require training for licenses and certifications.
Requirements
- HS Diploma or equivalent.
- 6 months of machining experience or 1 year of technical training.
