Overview

The Welding Technician in the Production Team is responsible for performing welding work for HRSG fabrication using processes such as GTAW and FCAW. This role requires strong technical skills, adherence to safety standards, and collaboration with various teams to meet production and quality goals.

Responsibilities

• Perform welding for HRSG component and structure fabrication.
• Execute welding work using GTAW, FCAW, and other required welding processes.
• Interpret drawings, WPS, and work instructions to determine welding positions and conditions.
• Conduct visual inspection and self-checks after welding to ensure required quality standards are met.
• Identify weld defects and perform repair or rework as needed.
• Work closely with fitting, assembly, and quality teams to support production goals.
• Follow all applicable safety, EHS, and quality procedures.

Requirements

• High school diploma or higher.
• At least 3 years of relevant welding experience.
• Practical experience with GTAW and FCAW.
• Ability to read technical drawings and follow work instructions.
• Understanding of welding parameters, quality requirements, and shop safety standards.
