The Metal Fabricator sets up, operates, and maintains automated machinery to produce precision metal components. This role blends hands-on fabrication with basic programming to deliver high-quality parts that meet safety and production standards. Equipment includes but is not limited to: laser, plasma, punch, press brake, tube bending, etc.

CNC Operation & Tooling: Set up, program/edit, and operate CNC equipment (laser, plasma, punch, press brake, tube bending) using proper tooling, fixtures, and materials.Print Reading & Inspection: Interpret blueprints and work orders to fabricate parts, verifying quality and print accuracy using calipers, micrometers, and gauges.Finishing & Maintenance: Perform secondary processes (deburring, grinding), execute daily preventative maintenance, and troubleshoot minor issues.Safety & Environment: Prioritize job safety assessments, safely operate forklifts and overhead cranes, and maintain a clean 5S workplace.Continuous Improvement: Participate in root-cause analysis for defects and support lean manufacturing initiatives.

Welding experience (Highly Ideal).Ability to read and interpret blueprints and GD&T.Experience in a production setting.Familiarity with lean manufacturing process improvement.Creative thinker.

High school diploma or GED required2+ years of CNC machining or metal fabrication experience (Willing to train the right candidate).Experience with CNC controls.Basic understanding of metal properties and fabrication processes.Knowledge of fabrication defects and repair techniques.Strong attention to detail, safety, and quality.Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.Good communication skills and the ability to interact with coworkers professionally.Strong willingness to learn.
