Overview

The Welder position at Ichor involves programming, setting up, and operating various welding machines, primarily focusing on TIG and orbital welding of stainless steel and high purity materials. Ichor is a leader in the critical subsystems and turnkey process equipment marketplace, committed to quality and safety in manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Program, set up, and run various welding machines including hand welding and TIG welding.
• Perform mechanical set-ups and changeovers for all welding operations.
• Execute Ichor’s Standard Operating Procedures related to manufacturing duties.
• Study prints, drawings, and specifications to complete finished welds.
• Use approved hand gauges to inspect component quality.
• Work as a team member to maintain departmental quality and delivery standards.
• Process and inspect work according to prints.
• Collaborate with Engineering to develop advanced welding processes.
• Understand and execute Ichor’s safety rules and regulations.

Requirements

• Basic PC skills for manufacturing.
• Experience in a high-purity clean room environment.
• Certification in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing preferred.
• Understanding of products, systems, and UHP industry.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Successful completion of a 2-year professional trade program in Welding Technology or equivalent, or currently enrolled in such a program.
• Basic math, blueprint reading, and weld to print skills.
• 3+ years’ work experience performing TIG welding of stainless steel or less experience with a Welding technology degree.

Additional Information

• The position is for weekend days.
• The pay range for candidates based in Minnesota is $19.09 - 32.45 per hour.
• Ichor Systems is an ITAR-compliant operation and can only employ US Persons.
