Overview

Martin Marietta Magnesia Specialties, LLC is seeking candidates for a Welder Mechanic position at their Manistee Plant. The role involves troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining plant processing, conveying, and packaging equipment.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain plant processing, conveying, and packaging equipment.
• Use mechanics tools, welding equipment, cutting tools, measurement and alignment tools, and material handling equipment to repair equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance routines to ensure proper operation of equipment, including lubrication.
• Work around moving equipment, using heavy equipment and tools.
• Transport and maneuver heavy components and machinery using appropriate equipment and rigging techniques.
• Enter and retrieve data as required.
• Observe all safety rules and maintain good housekeeping in work areas.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school graduate.
• Able to lift 55 lbs.
• Able to work a 12-hour shift schedule.
• Capable of moving into positions with decision-making responsibility.
• Must pass a written NOCTI C Welder Mechanic written test and flat/horizontal welding practical test.
• Must pass pre-employment physical and drug test, and background check.
