Overview

The Maintenance Mechanic 2nd Class is a skilled maintenance position responsible for ensuring plant safety and equipment functionality. The role involves participation in safety programs, maintenance tasks, and teamwork to implement effective solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Adhere to safety standards and regulations.
  • Participate in safety, quality, and maintenance programs.
  • Perform cleanup duties and communicate safety concerns.
  • Engage in Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) initiatives.
  • Utilize problem-solving tools to improve equipment performance.
  • Install, modify, and maintain plant equipment.
  • Read and analyze blueprints and technical data.
  • Conduct inspections to identify potential equipment issues.
  • Understand and apply hydraulic and electrical systems principles.
  • Support training and development of colleagues.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent required.
  • Five years of experience in a related maintenance trade preferred.
  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Basic knowledge of welding practices and hydraulic circuitry.
  • Advanced understanding of electrical circuitry.
  • Basic PLC knowledge and ability to read schematics.
  • Ability to work independently or in a team.
  • Effective communication skills in English.
