Welding Manufacturing Engineer $140k – $190k + bonus, equity & benefits Los Angeles, CA Onsite

We’re a venture-backed defense aviation company building the fastest aircraft in the world through rapid hardware iteration—delivering high-speed systems for critical missions and national security.

We’re hiring a Welding Manufacturing Engineer to bridge early-stage design to flight-ready hardware, working hands-on across R&D and prototype manufacturing.

What You’ll Do: Develop and optimize welding processes across multiple techniques (electron beam, laser, GTAW, GMAW, etc.) Support builds of aircraft structures, tanks, and propulsion systems Drive weld joint design, fixtures, and manufacturable assemblies Lead root cause analysis and weld qualification testing (incl. NDE) Implement process improvements and explore automation/robotic welding

You Should Have: Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar Hands-on welding/fabrication experience in aerospace or complex hardware Strong understanding of weld design, materials, and manufacturing processes Ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment

Bonus: Experience with advanced alloys (titanium, nickel, stainless steel, etc.) Knowledge of weld testing standards (ASTM, AWS, ISO) Background in DFM, automation, or aerospace/defense
