Overview
Robinson Helicopter Company is a leading manufacturer of civil rotorcraft with a 50-year history of providing affordable helicopters for a wide range of applications. They are seeking a Sheet Metal Mechanic in their Assembly Department to contribute to the future of vertical flight.
Responsibilities
- Assemble helicopters and sub-assemblies using various tools in accordance with manufacturing procedures approved by the FAA.
- Use pneumatic tools, hand tools, drill presses, sheet metal rollers, stationary foot shears, and band saws.
- Perform trimming, forming, aligning, mating, fitting, and straightening on sheet metal and fiberglass.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and geometric tolerances.
- Utilize measuring tools such as torque wrenches, scales, and calipers to meet blueprint specifications.
- Ensure compliance with the Company’s DOT Antidrug and Alcohol Misuse Prevention Program.
- Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
Requirements
- Ability to assemble helicopters and sub-assemblies.
- Familiarity with measuring tools used in manufacturing.
- Basic knowledge of precision drilling and installation of rivets and fasteners.
- Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, geometry, and algebra.
- Capability to use calipers and basic measuring tools.
