Overview

As a Senior Advanced Manufacturing Engineer - Welding at Honeywell, you will ensure the quality and efficiency of manufacturing operations by developing and implementing strategies to optimize production processes. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives and report directly to the Engineering Director at the Torrance, CA location.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee advanced manufacturing processes to ensure quality, efficiency, and productivity.
• Develop and implement strategies to optimize production processes and drive continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement advanced manufacturing technologies and ensure alignment with business objectives.
• Analyze manufacturing data and metrics to identify areas for improvement.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to team members.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics.
• Proven experience in advanced manufacturing, process optimization, and lean manufacturing principles.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing technologies, such as machining, welding, brazing and assembly of complex aerospace components.
• Knowledge of industry specifications such as AWS D17.1 and AMS2750.
• Familiar with GD&T concepts and symbols.
• Experience with data analysis and statistical process control.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Proven track record of continuous improvement and project execution.
• Familiar with NX or similar CAD software.
