The Overhaul Mechanic (Non-A&P) plays a crucial role in the disassembly, inspection, cleaning, repair, and reassembly of aircraft components in the overhaul process.

Responsibilities

• Disassemble, clean, and reassemble aircraft components and subassemblies in accordance with work instructions and engineering specifications.
• Perform detailed inspections of parts for wear, damage, or defects; document findings and escalate issues as needed.
• Support A&P mechanics and inspectors with component overhaul and repair activities.
• Use hand tools, measuring instruments, and shop equipment to complete assigned tasks.
• Follow all FAA, company, and quality procedures to ensure compliance and airworthiness standards.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed, including job travelers and inspection documentation.
• Ensure proper handling, tagging, and storage of parts throughout the overhaul process.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with safety and 5S standards.
• Assist with troubleshooting and basic root cause identification under supervision.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–3+ years of mechanical, manufacturing, or aviation-related experience preferred.
• Experience working with hand tools, mechanical assemblies, or technical repair work.
• Ability to read and follow technical instructions, manuals, and basic blueprints.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment.
