Overview

The Maintenance Technician at Howmet Aerospace Inc. is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining industrial machinery and equipment. The company is a leading global provider of advanced engineered solutions for the aerospace and transportation industries.

Responsibilities

• Mechanically troubleshoot, repair and maintain all types of industrial machinery, equipment and systems.
• Rebuild or repair machines or assemblies to original operating conditions.
• Work with CNC machines, punch presses, and spot-welding equipment.
• Manage project work and document product equipment or processes.
• Communicate and review repair problems with Engineering, Tool Room, Production Team Leads, or vendors.
• Perform equipment failure analyses including preventative and unscheduled maintenance.
• Plan and implement preventative and predictive maintenance programs to maximize equipment up time.
• Keep neat orderly records and order spare parts.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Previous manufacturing experience.
• Ability to fabricate, weld, or machine parts as required.
• Knowledge of mechanical troubleshooting including power transmission, fluid power, and pneumatics.
• Ability to read, write, and understand written specifications, procedures, and prints.
• Ability to design and execute from verbal instructions.
• Good mechanical aptitude and ability to work on close-tolerance equipment and/or parts.
• Ability to use various measuring devices such as torque wrench, micrometers, Vernier calipers, and dial indicators.
• Ability to use math to calculate dimensions and determine equipment setups.
• Safety and quality conscious.
