Responsibilities

• Follow all standard work practices and procedures including safety protocols.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Complete work orders in the computer system.
• Lookup and sign out parts using SAP.
• Perform minor electrical work as needed with proper training.
• Rebuild pumps and change mechanical seals.
• Troubleshoot and repair extrusion vacuum loading systems.
• Rebuild and change blades on granulators and blowers.
• Install coating rolls and nip rolls.
• Use measuring tools and fabricate parts to precise tolerances.
• Perform preventive maintenance on various machinery.
• Comply with all plant rules, safety rules, and work instructions.
• Perform housekeeping duties.
• Understand emergency response roles and actions.
• Gain knowledge of asbestos and radioactive device handling.
• Know the domestic water system and gas shutoff locations.
• Practice good housekeeping and clean up after jobs.
• Perform any other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of apprentice program or 2 years’ experience in maintenance repair.
• Certification to operate Forklift Truck, Scissors Lift, Cherry Picker, and Bobcat.
• Ability to do basic machine shop work, welding, and blueprint reading.
• Ability to successfully pass the Company designated written test.
• Bilingual candidates encouraged to apply.
