Overview

Edgewood Properties, a leading real estate development and property management company founded in 1992, is seeking a Road/Field Mechanic for its Excavation Department as the company experiences significant growth in its apartment portfolio.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on all types of heavy equipment such as Excavators, Dozers, Front end Loaders, Backhoes, Haul Trucks, Rollers, and Pavers.
• Operate service truck from job to job.
• Diagnose and repair diesel and gas engines using computer diagnostics.
• Document all repairs.
• Utilize knowledge of hydraulics, electrical systems, and welding.
• Wear personal protective equipment as required.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience in heavy equipment repair.
• Technical degree preferred with 1-3 years' experience or 3-5 years heavy equipment repair experience.
• CDL is strongly preferred but not required.
• Working knowledge of a computer and use of equipment diagnostics tools such as CAT S.I.S.
• Knowledge of job-specific safety practices.
• Must be able to lift/carry up to 50lbs and perform physical tasks such as stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching, standing, and walking for long periods.
