Responsibilities

• Sets up equipment and welds parts using various welding machines.
• Selects type and size of pipe and related materials according to job specifications.
• Maintains quality and production standards for all work products.
• Secures pipes to structure with clamps, brackets, and hangers using hand tools.
• Maintains a clean and orderly work area and follows safety regulations.
• Records time spent on individual work orders accurately.
• Keeps the foreman and project personnel informed of issues affecting production.
• Detects and reports defective materials or questionable conditions.
• Notifies supervisor of equipment malfunctions and performs operator-based maintenance.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Must be certified to weld using material types such as black iron, stainless, and aluminum (Level II).
• 4+ years of experience as a Journeyman Welder preferred.
• Experience using a variety of welding equipment and procedures.
• Experience in using electrical or manual tools.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings.
• Detail-oriented with good organization skills.
• Knowledge of relative safety standards.
