Overview
DNV is seeking a Welding Engineer/Inspector to provide sustainable service support for PED services, focusing on the review and approval of welding processes and personnel under Pressure Equipment certification services. This remote position allows for independent assessment and verification of compliance with applicable codes and standards.
Responsibilities
- Independently assess and verify welding procedures and qualifications.
- Support compliance verification activities by identifying nonconformities.
- Witness onsite testing of weld processes and perform lab testing as required.
- Review documentation and lab reports for compliance with standards.
- Prepare Welding Procedure Qualification Records and Welder Test Certificates.
- Communicate technical issues with the Notified Body for final approvals.
- Act as the primary client interface for welding inquiries and quote requests.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Active AWS CWI (Certified Welding Inspector).
- At least 3 years of experience with AWS, ASME IX or similar.
- At least 3 years of experience with NDE/NDT methods.
- Strong understanding of metallurgy, heat treatment, and welding processes.
- Valid driver's license.
- Ability to travel up to 50% domestically and up to 10% internationally.
- Adequate near and far visual acuity for inspections.

- This position can be remote from anywhere in the Continental U.S.A.
