Overview
Epiroc is seeking a Tear-Down Disassembler/Welder to perform welding and disassembly operations on drilling rigs while adhering to safety guidelines. The company is a global productivity partner for mining and construction, focused on innovation and sustainability.
Responsibilities
- Disassemble/remove mechanical and hydraulic components and systems.
- Transport disassembled components and systems to the next step in the production process.
- Rig and lift components using a crane.
- Weld components using blueprints.
- Plan and lay out work from blueprints, drawings, or other specifications.
- Select materials and processes to be applied.
- Set up and adjust equipment.
- Weld in various positions to make items of different sizes and shapes.
- Braise, flame-cut, bead, heat treat, pressure, and tack weld.
- Use hand and power tools of the welding trade.
- Use templates for measuring, marking, scribing, and cutting when necessary.
- Address quality defects as per the production process.
- Move rigs/towers from one location to another following appropriate procedures.
- Load drill rigs and corresponding components for shipment.
- Maintain cleanliness of the assembly area and perform 5S activities.
- Detect and report defective materials and unusual conditions to the supervisor.
- Follow prescribed safety regulations and guidelines.
- Identify and report safety risks.
- Maintain work-related records and reports.
- Perform other duties as required, including assembly/welding in other production areas.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Minimum 0-5 years of experience necessary.
- Preferred: 2 years minimum assembly experience.
- Knowledge of safe working practices in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to use and comprehend specifications, blueprints, and schematics.
- Knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical components/systems.
- Basic knowledge of troubleshooting.
- Basic computer skills including MS Office and ERP Systems.
- Knowledge of welding principles and safe welding practices.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing preferred.

Additional Information
- Onsite work environment.
- Shift timings are Monday – Friday, 7:00AM – 3:30PM.
