Lead QA/QC Inspector – Structural Steel (Welding & Bolting) The Lead QA/QC Inspector is responsible for overseeing quality assurance and quality control activities related to structural steel fabrication and erection, including welding, bolting, material traceability, dimensional control, and NDT. This role ensures compliance with project specifications, applicable codes, and client quality requirements while serving as the primary field quality representative. This role will start on June 8th, 2026. Key Responsibilities Lead field QA/QC activities for structural steel fabrication and erection. Verify compliance with approved WPSs, welder qualifications, bolting procedures, and project specifications. Perform and document receiving, fit-up, in-process, final, and dimensional inspections. Review material certifications, weld maps, NDT reports, and traceability records. Monitor bolt installation, tensioning, and calibration requirements. Identify, document, and track NCRs, punch items, and corrective actions. Coordinate inspections with construction teams, clients, and third-party inspectors. Compile turnover packages, quality records, and final documentation. Qualifications 8+ years of QA/QC experience on heavy industrial construction projects. Strong experience with structural steel welding and high-strength bolting inspections. Working knowledge of AWS D1.1, AISC, RCSC, and applicable NDT standards. AWS CWI certification required. Strong leadership, communication, and documentation skills.
