Overview

McMillen, Inc. is seeking a hands-on Field Mechanic with experience in heavy equipment repair and marine operations. The role involves extensive travel to job sites and requires a mechanically inclined candidate willing to learn and adapt.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the assembly and disassembly of cranes at various job sites.
• Perform rigging and signaling duties to ensure safe operations.
• Operate and maintain barge-based cranes and related marine equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment as required by McMillen’s operational needs.
• Perform maintenance and repair on various types of equipment including boats and cranes.
• Maintain strict adherence to safety protocols and industry standards.

Requirements

• Experience with crane erection, rigging, signaling, or barge operations preferred.
• Mechanical aptitude.
• Willingness to travel extensively to various jobsites in the area.
• Teachable attitude with a strong work ethic and attention to detail.
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and changing work environment.
• Must be safety-conscious and dependable.
• Pass a drug test and background check.
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
• Valid driver's license.
• Reliable transportation to and from work.

Additional Information

• Extensive travel (approximately 80%) to various job sites.
• Employment contingent upon successful completion of a background check and drug screen.
• Security clearance required based on background check results.
