Overview

DNV is seeking a Welding Engineer/Inspector to provide support for Pressure Equipment certification services, focusing on welding processes and personnel. This remote position requires technical expertise in compliance verification and client interaction to ensure adherence to applicable standards.

Responsibilities

• Independently assess and verify welding procedures and qualifications.
• Support compliance verification activities by identifying nonconformities.
• Witness onsite testing of weld processes and qualifications.
• Review documentation and lab reports for compliance with standards.
• Prepare Welding Procedure Qualification Records and Welder Test Certificates.
• Communicate technical issues with the Notified Body.
• Interface with clients to respond to inquiries and prepare quotes.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Active AWS CWI (Certified Welding Inspector).
• At least 3 years of experience with AWS, ASME IX or similar.
• At least 3 years of experience with NDE/NDT methods.
• Strong understanding of metallurgy, heat treatment, and welding processes.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to travel up to 50% domestically and up to 10% internationally.
• Adequate near and far visual acuity for inspections.
