Overview
Loenbro, LLC is seeking a Mechanical Foreman to supervise and coordinate activities of a crew installing industrial piping systems across various locations. The role involves planning work, training personnel, and ensuring safety and quality standards are maintained.
Responsibilities
- Provide on-site supervision to clarify drawings and discrepancies.
- Coordinate interfacing of various trades and provide quality standards.
- Work directly with crews and advise supervisors on personnel performance.
- Assist crew with piping layout, fit-up, and installation activities.
- Review project progress, cost reports, schedules, and requirements for completion.
- Recommend changes in methods, schedules, and procedures.
- Maintain communication with supervisors regarding project responsibilities.
- Ensure proper documentation flow from field to supervisor.
- Enforce company policies and programs on the project.
- Ensure equipment is cleaned, serviced, and stored properly.
- Maintain a neat job site and personal appearance.
- Actively promote a positive work atmosphere.
- Follow blueprints and instructions from supervisors.
- Assemble hoisting equipment and rigging for heavy equipment movement.
- Perform welding activities with minimal supervision.
- Set up welding equipment according to appropriate processes.
- Complete weldments to AWS welding code and blueprint requirements.
- Operate equipment such as forklifts and lifts.
- Perform minor maintenance on job-related equipment.
- Assume responsibility for assigned tools and equipment.
- Observe and practice safety procedures and policies.
- Be comfortable working from heights.
- Attend work as an essential job function.
Requirements
- Ability to work independently and plan work according to schedules.
- OSHA and other Health and Safety certifications are desirable.
- High School diploma or equivalent experience.
- Must pass a structural weld test 3G/4G (ARC & MIG).
- 5 years of experience including 2 years in a supervisory position.
- Experience with industrial process or utility piping systems preferred.
