Job Description
The Preventive Maintenance (PM) Technician is responsible for performing preventive maintenance on equipment, machinery, tools, and/or buildings on a routine basis at a previously established optimum frequency.
Responsibilities
Plan, coordinate and perform preventive maintenance on equipment, machinery, tools, and/or buildings Review manufacturers’ service manuals, facility’s usage schedules, records of maintenance problems, and inspection and repair reports to determine optimum frequency of preventive maintenance Study production and operation schedules and confer with staff to determine when to perform planned maintenance to avoid interference with operations of facility Schedule and perform inspections of equipment, machinery, tools, and/or buildings Maintain records of planned and completed maintenance Ensure all safety procedures, practices, and regulations are followed before, during, and after the process to foster a positive safety culture by having a safety-first mindset and approach during execution of activities Conduct process inspection, certification, and documentation as needed Other duties and special projects as assigned
Qualifications
High School graduate or GED equivalent Minimum 2-3 years production maintenance experience Excellent attention to detail and accuracy Strong organizational skills Ability to prioritize with an emphasis on quality of work Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment Demonstrates a high level of customer service and strong communication (both listening and speaking) and interpersonal skills Experience demonstrating successful support of a positive safety culture Ability to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation(s) Associate degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance and/or completion of a craft apprenticeship or technical certification preferred Greater than 3 years of experience as a maintenance technician preferred Previous TIG and stick welding experience preferred
Job Description
Position Summary
The Welder is responsible for providing expert leadership to the team that performs the daily operations of, and the preparation, assembling, and repairs of all pipe systems of various shapes, sizes, and pressures; and provides leadership to the team regarding welding techniques, procedures, and application of welding equipment, and utilizing welding knowledge to manufacture a product per the customer drawings, specifications, or other form of instruction.
Position Responsibilities - Essential
Assembles, inspects, tests, and repairs pipe systems used to control plant operations Ensures proper placement and alignment according to blueprints, specifications, diagrams, schematics, or instructions Performs inspections of completed pipe system and components to determine structural and operational soundness Tests performed to locate defective components in systems, using test equipment, schematics, and maintenance manuals Joins, fabricates, and repairs metal and other material by applying appropriate welding techniques Interprets blueprints, specifications, diagrams, or schematics to determine appropriate welding process to be used Inspects completed welds to determine structural soundness Conducts tests on new components, assemblies, and systems based on test criteria as established by the policies and procedures and/or written test plans Maintains accurate records of test results, and provides reports of results to management Ability to use, maintain and possess required hand tools necessary to perform task assigned Ensure all safety procedures, practices, and regulations are followed before, during, and after the process to foster a positive safety culture by having a safety-first mindset and approach during execution of activities Based on the nature of the essential functions associated with this role, GreenWood has designated this as a “safety-sensitive” position.
Position Responsibilities - Non-Essential/Other
Maintains welding and pipefitting equipment Conducts process inspection, certification, and documentation Required to wear a respirator or full-faced air suppled equipment as needed when welding in confined spaces May be required to wear a respirator while field welding of certain metals such as stainless steel, carbon steel and aluminum Other duties and special projects as assigned
