Overview

Georgia-Pacific is hiring a Journeyman Pipefitter/Welder for their Clatskanie, OR location, offering a starting pay of $48.45/hour along with a generous benefits package. The facility is a high-speed manufacturer of various tissue and paper products, including well-known brands like Brawny and Angel Soft.

Responsibilities

• Improve operations productivity and quality by planning and coordinating labor, parts, materials, tools, and equipment access.
• Accurately follow blueprints, technical and mechanical drawings, and Process & Instrument Diagrams for machine installations or rebuilds.
• Adhere to all plant safety and environmental guidelines and participate in the safety program.
• Troubleshoot, install, perform routine repairs, and set up equipment and components in all areas of the facility.
• Work within a flex-trade, industrial/manufacturing environment to complete tasks and handle multiple tasks.
• Effectively operate welding equipment to install, maintain, and fabricate industrial piping systems.
• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Operate material handling equipment to complete mechanical installation and service of piping system equipment.
• Work within a team environment and communicate with all levels of the organization.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Journey level experience as a maintenance Pipefitter/Welder in an industrial/manufacturing setting.
• Experience with a variety of tools and equipment.
• Experience using a computer for record-keeping and documentation functions.
• Knowledge and experience with various welding processes, such as TIG, MIG, and ARC.
• Experience using heavy machinery, such as forklifts and cranes.
