Overview

The MIG/TIG Welder Level I is responsible for the fabrication and welding of aluminum and stainless steel. This position requires the ability to perform various welding tasks while ensuring quality and safety standards are met.

Responsibilities

  • Perform MIG and TIG welds on aluminum and stainless steel in flat, horizontal, vertical, or overhead positions.
  • Examine weld for bead size and other specifications.
  • Repair broken or cracked parts and fill holes.
  • Position and clamp workpieces together or assemble them in jigs or fixtures.
  • Select torch, torch tip, filler ford, and flux according to welding chart specifications or type and thickness of material.
  • Perform all necessary maintenance and repair on all equipment used in welding.

Requirements

  • Ability to pass weld test.
  • At least 1 year of experience reading a tape measure, identifying, and measuring material.
  • Must be able to lift 50lbs.
  • At least 1 year of MIG and TIG welding experience in a production environment preferred.
  • At least 1 year of experience using weld fillet gauges to ensure proper weld size and interpret tolerances.
  • Forklift certification.

Additional Information

  • 1st shift position, Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
  • Overtime as needed.
  • Candidates that accept an offer of employment will be required to pass a background and drug screen.
  • Candidates must also meet ATF requirements for firearm possession.
