Overview

As a Welder in Springfield, OH, you will be responsible for cutting and joining metals and other materials using advanced technology and equipment. The role requires precision in assembling mechanical structures or parts while ensuring safety and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Read simple blueprints and drawings
• Perform MIG, TIG, and other types of welds based on project needs
• Maintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety
• Test and inspect welded surfaces to detect flaws
• Always follow specifications and instructions for maximum efficiency
• Align components using callipers, rulers etc. and clamp pieces
• Report on damages to machines and equipment
• Support business needs in current position and other departments as needed

Requirements

• Proven experience as a welder or schooling
• Experience using a variety of welding equipment and procedures
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings
• Knowledge of relative safety standards and willingness to use protective clothing
• Attention to detail, time management skills, and a positive attitude
• High School diploma/GED preferred
• Professional certification is a plus
