Overview

Barnes Aerospace is an innovative provider of solutions for the aerospace market, offering competitive wages and a strong team environment. They are seeking a Tig Welder for the 3rd shift who is a team player and enjoys working in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform all types of TIG welding to repair/replace damaged areas and cracks on aircraft parts and fixtures.
  • Perform TIG welding operations on aircraft components to meet NDT specifications and ensure efficient flow of work to meet production schedules.
  • Perform TIG welding operations on titanium, aluminum, stainless steel, and Nickel alloy parts, following standardized working procedures.
  • Work with Engineering to develop programs, determine new methods, and assist with developing new tooling ideas.
  • Inspect weld for bead size and compliance with specifications, ensuring dimensional requirements are met.
  • Complete production paperwork.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on equipment and machines.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 3+ years in aerospace environment.
  • Ability to pass welding tests for aircraft welding certifications.
  • Good mathematical skills.
  • Knowledge/practical experience in aerospace environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints and technical documents.

Additional Information

  • 3rd Shift Mon-Fri 10:30pm-7:00am.
  • Must be able to train on 1st and/or 2nd shift.
