This role is responsible for producing high-quality TIG welds and fabricated components used in prototype and production environments. The position focuses on welding, brazing, and mechanical assembly of pressure vessels and structural components while meeting strict quality and safety requirements.

Job Details

Core Responsibilities:

Perform TIG welding on stainless steel, aluminum, and titanium components

Fabricate and weld pressure vessels and structural assemblies according to prints and specifications

Complete oxy-acetylene brazing and light electromechanical assembly using hand tools

Set up and weld parts using proper materials, joint preparation, and welding techniques

Ensure all welds meet required quality standards and certification specifications

Use measuring tools, gauges, and inspection equipment to verify dimensional accuracy and weld integrity

Operate fabrication and welding equipment such as TIG welders, plasma arc systems, press brakes, metal shears, rotary tables, turntables, and torches

Additional Duties & Expectations:

Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions

Successfully pass company-provided weld qualification and certification testing

Support lean manufacturing, process improvement, and quality initiatives

Maintain compliance with all environmental, health, and safety policies, including PPE requirements

Complete all required training and maintain technical competency

Assist with special projects and additional fabrication or production tasks as assigned

Qualifications:

Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Hands-on TIG Welding Experience

Proven ability to weld high-precision components to specification

Experience working with stainless steel, aluminum, and titanium

Familiarity with fabrication tools and shop equipment

Basic computer skills; exposure to MRP systems is a plus

Strong attention to detail, quality, and safety

Ability to work independently while collaborating with a production team

Education:

High School Diploma or equivalent required

Physical & Work Environment Requirements:

Ability to bend, twist, and perform repetitive motions throughout the shift

Capable of lifting up to 20 lbs repeatedly and up to 50 lbs occasionally

May be required to lift materials manually (up to 40 lbs individually)

Standing, sitting, climbing stairs, and using tools for extended periods

Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with standard shop exposures
