Overview
Join Collins Aerospace as a Welder/Brazer 4 and play a key role in supporting the repair, restoration, and development of precision components used in aerospace applications. This hands-on position involves performing TIG welding on stainless steel and steel parts, contributing to both production work and prototype development efforts.
Responsibilities
- Layout work requirements and obtain needed equipment for routine repair and alteration operations.
- Inspect weld for bead size and compliance with specifications.
- Blend, grind, or polish weld to ensure specified minimum wall requirement is met.
- Collaborate with Engineering on new R&D projects and work with Redline Drawings.
- Manage prototype welding projects, which may constitute 50% of the job.
- Use measuring instruments to ensure repaired parts meet dimensional requirements.
- Complete production paperwork accurately.
- Interpret complicated prints, drawings, and process sheets for various layouts.
- Perform standard hand and machine welding operations for fabrication or restoration.
- Build up finished machined surfaces and repair simple cracks and imperfections.
- Arrange for repair or replacement of equipment as necessary.
- Perform routine servicing throughout the assigned area following specified procedures.
- Assist others with new process tryouts and specialized assignments.
- Engage in physical tasks including bending, reaching, pulling, and pushing.
Requirements
- Typically requires HS diploma or equivalent, or vocational/technical education in a related discipline.
- Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
- 2+ years of TIG welding experience with stainless steel and steel.
- Welding Certificate Level 1 Welding (GTAW Stainless Steel) is required.

- This is a first shift onsite role out of Anaheim, CA.
- The hourly range for this role is $29.81 - $38.46.
