Overview

BAE Systems is seeking entry level welders to support vehicle fabrication from Trade School Partners. The role involves operating various welding equipment and interacting with supervisors and engineers in a production environment.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate handheld or machine guided welding equipment.
  • Utilize positioners, fixtures, and hand layout per process documentation.
  • Perform welding processes including mig wire, dual shield, flux core, submerged arc, tig, stick electrode welding, carbon arc gouging, plasma arc gouging, and oxy-acetylene cutting.
  • Operate support equipment such as jib or overhead cranes, portable chippers, grinders, and various hand tools.
  • Interact with Supervisors, Manufacturing Engineers, Weld Techs, and Inspection personnel.

Requirements

  • 0-1 years of welding experience.
  • Currently enrolled or recent graduate from Universal Technical Institute - Mooresville, NC.
  • Proficiency in using personal computers or data acquisition devices.
  • Sufficient working experience utilizing tools, equipment, machinery, and materials.
