Overview

Bilfinger is a leading international industrial services provider with over 4,500 skilled employees in North America, delivering services across multiple industries. The Pipefitter Foreman supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in fabricating, assembling, installing, and maintaining piping and related systems.

Responsibilities

  • Supervises and coordinates activities of workers.
  • Assigns workers to specific duties.
  • Inspects completed processing systems for conformance to specifications.
  • Trains new workers in the use of equipment and tools.
  • Performs duties as described under Supervisor.
  • May supervise workers in high-pressure systems as Steam-Fitter Supervisor.
  • May supervise maintenance and repair work as Pipe-Fitter Supervisor, Maintenance.

Requirements

  • NCCER Foreman certification is preferred.
  • Must be capable of exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally.
  • Must be able to apply and interpret principles of rational systems.
  • Competent in beginning algebra and geometry.
  • Skilled in computation of discount, interest, profit and loss, and percentage.
  • Must be able to read safety rules and instructions.
  • Must be able to write reports and letters with proper format.
  • Must be able to speak using correct English before an audience.
  • Requires 4 to 10 years of specific job training.
