Overview

Torus is a Utah-based company expanding its manufacturing capabilities at the GigaOne facility in Salt Lake City. The company aims to build a resilient energy infrastructure and is seeking a Welding Technician to execute welding operations, enhance efficiency, and ensure quality in the manufacturing process.

Responsibilities

• Perform welding tasks according to specifications and blueprints using various welding techniques.
• Develop and design fixtures to enhance welding processes, improve efficiency, and ensure consistent quality.
• Conduct thorough inline quality inspections to ensure that welding processes meet the highest standards.
• Identify and troubleshoot welding process issues to minimize downtime and maintain optimal efficiency.
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of welding activities, including specifications and inspection results.
• Work closely with team members, including engineers and production staff, to integrate welding processes.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent and 2+ years of hands-on experience in welding operations.
• Proficient in various welding techniques including MIG and TIG.
• Proficient with OXY-Acetylene.
• Capable to weld in different positions (e.g., 2G, 2F, 3G, 4F).
• Strong fixture design skills.
• Demonstrated ability to conduct inline quality inspections.
• Proven experience in troubleshooting welding processes.
• Must be able to pass a hands-on welding test.

Additional Information

• Location: Onsite - South Salt Lake, Utah (84119) or Salt Lake City (84104).
• Schedule: Full Time, Hourly, Mon-Friday 7:00 am - 3:30 pm.
• Compensation: $23 - 28 DOE.
