Overview

DXP is seeking an ANSI Pump Mechanic to join their team in Deer Park, Pasadena, TX. The role involves repairing and fabricating various types of pumps and rotating equipment, contributing to DXP's commitment to providing high-quality industrial solutions since 1908.

Responsibilities

• Receive, disassemble, inspect, repair, fabricate, paint, and package API centrifugal pumps and related rotating equipment.
• Safely load, unload, and move equipment as needed.

Requirements

• 5 years of experience working in a pump repair facility with experience repairing API centrifugal pumps.
• Experience repairing IPM pumps and making technical decisions.
• In-depth understanding of API 610 and other applicable standards.
• Ability to read pump sectional, machine drawings, and OEM pump manuals.
• Ability to write detailed rotating equipment reports for repairs and replacement parts.
• Experience with pneumatic and hydrostatic testing of parts and equipment.
• Ability to read and understand mechanical seal drawings and perform related tasks.
• Ability to work with multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to achieve results with minimal supervision.
• Background check, physical, and drug test required.
• High School Diploma or GED.

Additional Information

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must work in a shop environment without AC and heat, with possible exposure to dirt, heat, and noise.
• Shift time is 6:00 am to 4:30 pm CDT, with required overtime hours.
