Overview
Toshiba International Corporation is a leader in designing and manufacturing motors, motor controls, and power electronics products, with a commitment to quality and reliability. The Winder II position involves winding electric motors by inserting copper wire coils and connecting jumpers/lead cables.
Responsibilities
- Interpret motor specifications including BOM and Winding Instruction Sheet.
- Insert insulation and insulated copper wire coils into motor stator cores according to specifications.
- Pre-form coil end turns and connect jumpers/lead cables using solder or crimping tools.
- Hand lace winding end turns and inspect for compliance with Quality Control criteria.
- Assist in other manufacturing areas and cross-train in other positions within the Coil.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area and tools daily.
- Perform 3-4 different tasks within the winding department.
- Achieve weekly productivity of 70%-85%.
Requirements
- High school diploma.
- 2-6 years of experience with motor winding.
- Experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.
- Intermediate knowledge of electrical instruments or devices.
- Mechanical ability and good hand/finger coordination.
- Ability to study, analyze, and interpret specification work sheets.
