The Mechanic Fleet Maintenance Forman oversees the mechanical repair and servicing of transportation equipment while handling various administrative duties in the shop facility.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with transportation supervisor.
• Assign priority of work to mechanics and process repair work orders.
• Assist in repair, diagnosis, and other tasks involved in equipment repairs.
• Administer in-house and external repairs of fleet tractors, trailers, and reefers.
• Ensure all maintenance management documentation and equipment is in compliance with DOT regulations.
• Manage department invoicing.
• Professionally interact directly with fleet industry vendors for parts/supply ordering, repair matters, and fleet support.
• Perform routine DOT BIT inspections.
• Follow established safety procedures and techniques to perform job duties.
• Ensure that shop area is clean, organized, and in compliance.
• Must be able to work all shifts.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year mechanic experience in a related field (Fleet maintenance, Tractor Trailer, etc.).
• 1 year leadership experience.
• Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Mechanic Certifications.
