Overview

CVS Health, a Fortune 4 company, is seeking an Automation Mechanic to join their Pharmacy Maintenance Team in Chicago, IL. This role involves maintaining and troubleshooting automated systems in a large volume pharmaceutical dispensing facility, impacting the lives of thousands of patients.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and maintain automation robotics, electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems.
• Conduct routine inspections of machines and systems to ensure optimal performance.
• Perform preventative maintenance on equipment and notify the Manager of major repairs needed.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area for all employees.
• Participate in training programs to stay updated on new technologies and procedures.

Requirements

• Must be comfortable with physical labor including crawling under conveyor and working in confined spaces.
• Ability to lift 60 lbs without assistance.
• Experience climbing ladders and industrial platforms.
• Comfortable in aerial lifts.
• Able to walk and be on feet for 90% of shift.
• 3+ years of risk assessment skills.
• 3+ years of project management skills with ability to multi-task & prioritize.
• 3+ years of performing Preventive Maintenance (PM) on automated manufacturing equipment.
• 3+ years of troubleshooting, repairing & maintaining automated equipment controlled by PLCs.
• 3+ years of mechanical and pneumatic repairs in automation environment.
• 3+ years of electrical schematic, print reading, and voltmeter usage (24v – 480v).
• Verifiable High School diploma, GED or equivalent work experience required.

Additional Information

• Schedule: Monday-Thursday 10:00pm-6:30am, and Saturday 12:00am-8:30am.
• Starting Pay: $36/hr.
• Full-time position with guaranteed 40 hours per week.
