Overview
As a Pipefitter IV, you'll serve as a master-level trade leader and senior field expert in commercial mechanical service and installation, overseeing high-profile piping work across wet-side HVAC systems nationwide. Responsibilities
- Collaborate with General Foreman, Superintendent, and Project Manager to develop project-specific task plans and risk assessments.
- Perform detailed field surveys and condition assessments, reporting findings and recommending proactive solutions.
- Plan, coordinate, and supervise on-site functions including scheduling and daily crew assignments.
- Oversee and direct pipefitting crews daily, monitoring progress and preparing weekly reports.
- Conduct jobsite inspections to ensure compliance with piping codes and standards.
- Lead hazard assessments and enforce safety protocols across the crew.
- Train and mentor new and existing pipefitters on industry practices and safety standards.
- Troubleshoot escalated technical issues and customer concerns.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in commercial/industrial piping installation and repair, with mastery of wet-side HVAC systems.
- High school diploma or GED required; trade school or apprenticeship completion preferred.
- Valid journeyman or master pipefitter/plumber license; welding/brazing certification preferred.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs and work in confined spaces or at heights.
- Mastery-level pipefitting techniques and advanced blueprint reading skills.
- Excellent communication, reporting, and negotiation skills.
- Safety leadership and code compliance mastery.
