Overview

Eaton’s ES AMER ARS division is seeking a Production Technician in Grapevine, TX. This role is available to military-affiliated job seekers and offers an hourly rate of $20.50, along with a variable incentive program.

Responsibilities

  • Wire, assemble, fit and mount sub-assemblies and components in electrical control equipment.
  • Perform assembly for test preparation and final inspection.
  • Use power checking procedures to verify electrical/mechanical integrity of assembled units.
  • Assemble panelboards and/or switchboards based on electrical drawings and work instructions.
  • Inspect and test finished products to maintain quality standards.
  • Use tools such as wire strippers and pliers for electrical wiring assembly.
  • Maintain expected job progress and communicate issues or part shortages.
  • Receive and put away material; prepare finished products for shipment.
  • Recommend improvements related to quality and safety as part of Lean Initiatives.
  • Cross-train and flex across functions as needed.

Requirements

  • Minimum one year of experience in an assembly-related role using hand and/or power tools.
  • Completion of a one-year Technical School diploma from an accredited institution is acceptable.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
  • Experience with CNC bus fabrication, press brake, or related fields is a plus.
  • Familiarity with wiring diagrams, schematics, and power flow.
  • Ability to use various tools including manual/electric tools and measuring devices.
  • Must be able to lift 35lbs regularly and work overtime as required.
  • Effective communication skills in written and verbal formats.
  • Ability to follow manufacturing drawings and instructions.

Additional Information

  • Work hours are from 6:30 AM to 3 PM.
  • Position is on-site in Grapevine, TX.
  • No relocation benefits offered; candidates must reside within 50 miles of the location.
