Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications for ductwork systems.
• Measure and mark sheet metal for cutting and shaping.
• Cut and form sheet metal using shears, saws, and bending machines.
• Assemble and join ductwork components using welding, soldering, or mechanical fastening.
• Install ductwork in commercial or residential buildings.
• Insulate ductwork to prevent heat loss or gain and reduce noise.
• Seal joints and connections with appropriate sealants or tapes.
• Install dampers, grilles, registers, and other accessories as required.
• Test and balance airflow in the ductwork system.
• Inspect and repair ductwork for leaks, damage, or corrosion.
• Clean and maintain ductwork systems for proper airflow.
• Collaborate with HVAC technicians or engineers for system integration.
• Adhere to safety guidelines and regulations.
