What You’ll Do

The Fitter Fabricator will construct, position, align, fit, and assemble machine or mechanical parts of metal products in accordance with company specifications.

Responsibilities

Fit and fabricate large grinding, sizing, and material handling equipment Maintain tight tolerances without the use of fixtures Safely move materials using overhead cranes, jib cranes, and forklifts as needed Perform hard wire and flux core welding Apply welding expertise and best practices across varying conditions and requirements

Must-Have Qualifications

5+ years of industrial welding experience Able to operate forklifts safely and knowledgeable in rigging and lifting large equipment in tight spaces Experience operating overhead and jib cranes Ability to read and interpret blueprints and shop prints Able to select appropriate welding wire and machine parameters for optimal weld strength and efficiency Able to maintain tolerances for fabricated assemblies and inspect parts Proficient with hand tools, including grinders Must have basic tools required for the job Basic math skills (fractions) for fabrication tasks Basic computer skills for accurate time entry
