Job Responsibilities

Internal Posting: Current Midlands Technical College Employees Only** Midlands Technical College is seeking a dedicated and experienced Welding Instructor to join the Corporate and Continuing Education team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in welding techniques, safety procedures, and industry standards. The instructor will be responsible for delivering a comprehensive welding curriculum that includes SMAW, GTAW, FCAW, and GMAW processes while ensuring instruction aligns with current industry practices. The position will also involve working with local industry partners to ensure training remains relevant to workforce needs. A key component of this role includes collaborating with the Program Director, Business Solutions Directors, and industry partners to develop and deliver customized training solutions for individual companies. This may include training on exotic metals, Inconel procedures, and specialized pipe welding techniques. The successful candidate will possess strong communication skills, a passion for teaching, and a commitment to fostering a culture of safety, quality, and critical thinking in the training environment

This position is located on the Midlands Technical College Airport Campus.

Minimum And Additional Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in welding, or associate’s degree and demonstrated competencies in welding.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree is preferred and an active Certified Welding Inspector certification.
