Overview

Kinder Morgan is seeking Pipeline Welders for their Tennessee Gas Pipeline Coudersport Compressor Station in Pennsylvania. The position offers competitive pay, extensive benefits, and opportunities for advancement through training and experience.

Responsibilities

  • Perform and inspect pipeline and structural welding for construction and maintenance of gas pipeline facilities.
  • Perform welding operations on pipe, vessels, structural skids, and other equipment.
  • Layout, cut, fit, and prepare material for welding.
  • Perform hot taps and tie-in welds on various pipe sizes up to 42 O.D.
  • Fabricate material from piping schematics and other drawings.
  • Work from blueprints, sketches, or verbal instructions.
  • Maintain all facilities and equipment as needed.
  • Identify, report, and correct safety and environmental concerns.
  • Complete appropriate documentation and paperwork.
  • Assist with pipe replacements and perform various pipeline specialist tasks.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Working knowledge and experience as a pipeline welder.
  • Knowledge of basic properties of metals.
  • Valid Driver’s license.
  • Qualified welder in conformance with API Standard 1104.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering construction blueprints.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations and DOT pipeline regulations.

Additional Information

  • Work schedule is Monday through Thursday, ten hours per day with overtime.
  • Extensive travel and overnight stays required, up to 80% of the time.
