Overview

The Mechanic Third Class position involves performing as a highly skilled maintenance professional, participating in teams to develop and implement solutions while ensuring safety and compliance with environmental regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Adhere to safety standards and participate in safety programs.
  • Notify supervisors of any accidents or safety concerns.
  • Participate in plant TPM initiatives and maintain equipment.
  • Utilize problem-solving tools to achieve zero injuries and defects.
  • Install, modify, or maintain plant equipment.
  • Read and analyze blueprints and technical data.
  • Inspect plant equipment for potential issues.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
  • Support training and development of colleagues.
  • Follow standard operating procedures and processes.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent required.
  • Five years of experience in a related maintenance trade preferred.
  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Basic knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
  • Proficient in SAP PM Module.
  • Must be able to work independently or in a team.
  • Basic computer skills including Microsoft Outlook and data entry.
