Overview
The Mechanic Third Class position involves performing as a highly skilled maintenance professional, participating in teams to develop and implement solutions while ensuring safety and compliance with environmental regulations.
Responsibilities
- Adhere to safety standards and participate in safety programs.
- Notify supervisors of any accidents or safety concerns.
- Participate in plant TPM initiatives and maintain equipment.
- Utilize problem-solving tools to achieve zero injuries and defects.
- Install, modify, or maintain plant equipment.
- Read and analyze blueprints and technical data.
- Inspect plant equipment for potential issues.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
- Support training and development of colleagues.
- Follow standard operating procedures and processes.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent required.
- Five years of experience in a related maintenance trade preferred.
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Basic knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
- Proficient in SAP PM Module.
- Must be able to work independently or in a team.
- Basic computer skills including Microsoft Outlook and data entry.
