Responsibilities

  • Read layouts, diagrams, project commissioning documents, and material lists.
  • Conduct field surveys.
  • Perform mild rigging and mill work.
  • Assist other Facilities personnel with survey or engineering and construction tasks.
  • Exercise judgment and make decisions on assigned projects.
  • Use appropriate welding gases to produce quality welds and set up fixtures for welding assignments.
  • Perform fabrication, installation, and detailed assembly work as required.

Requirements

  • Associates degree in a relevant technical field or equivalent coursework.
  • 5 years of experience as an industrial technician.
  • Ability to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, or schematics.
  • Experienced in Mig and Tig welding.
  • Proficiency with shop math, hand tools, and some understanding of mechanical gauges.
  • Demonstrated ability using a variety of hand/power tools such as wrenches and screwdrivers.
  • Ability to troubleshoot a variety of mechanical problems.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of mechanical operations.

Additional Information

  • Work hours are from 2:30pm to 11pm, Monday to Friday, with occasional overtime on Saturdays.
